Deniliquin Four Post Camp is a Water Wise Campsite

Four Post Youth Camp’s Community Water Grants Project is a working example of how to save and use one of nature’s most precious resources.

Rainwater from buildings runs into large storage tanks and is used to service the toilets, showers and lawns. Over 200,000 litres of rainwater can be stored. With approved fire fighting fittings there is also a readily available water supply for emergency use.

Overflows from the tanks and ground surface water flow into an artificial wetlands area which is used for kayaking, rafting, bug catching and other environmental activities.  Camp staff offer a walk around information session and activity sheets can be included in student camp books.
